Dillon Fence was a band I caught several times at The Balcony, now named Top of the Stairs, in the early 90s at Virginia Tech. The Chapel Hill band was damn popular in the mid-atlantic back in the early 90s. Their sound, at least from their first album Rosemary, is pretty similar to the Connells, another band that was hugely popular in the mid-atlantic back in the early 90s.

Oh, what I would give to see Out On The Tiles live.

DMB is in town (their hometown) today and tomorrow. I’m not going, but I’ll celebrate the occasion and Cover Fridays with this cover of Peter Gabriel that was performed during Bonnaroo 2004.
